Summit tour in Funäsdalen

Go on a hike in Funäsdalen - try hiking

A summit tour is more than skiing - it's an adventure where you make your own way up the mountain before being rewarded with the ride down. With the help of skins under your skis, special bindings with a free heel and ski boots with a gaitor, you can slowly but surely climb to the top. When you pull off the skins, the best of all awaits: untouched snow and freedom on the way down. In Funäsdalen, this is a growing trend and a way to experience the mountains up close.

Randonée and ski touring - adventures in the mountains

The term randonée, or 'rando' as it is often called, comes from the French and simply means ski touring in alpine terrain. The international name is ski touring, but whatever you call it, it's all about the same thing - getting up under your own power and enjoying freeriding on the way down. Here in Funäsdalen there are excellent conditions for ski touring, with mountain environments that provide both training, challenge and magnificent views.

Randoleden - your way to the top

In the middle of the village, next to the Topsport sports shop, Funäsdalens own hiking trail begins. It winds all the way up to the top of Funäsdalsberget. The trail runs through varied terrain, is sheltered from the wind and offers magical views of the village, lake and mountain massifs. For beginners, the trail is a perfect way to practice technique, while experienced skiers can push the pace and get a proper workout. From valley to peak, it takes about 30-60 minutes.
