Funäsdalsberget is the heart of the company that together with Hotell Funäsdalen, three restaurants, and a sports shop creates Funäsdalens Berg & Hotell.

Funäsdalen is a small mountain village with a big heart. Here resides just over a thousand permanent residents. The village is beautifully situated between Funäsdalssjön and Funäsdalsberget. Here, you live in the middle of the village, but with the mountains and the lake as your neighbors. The adventures await right outside your front door. In your spare time, you have the opportunity to go fishing, hiking, mountain biking, climbing, paddling, swimming, or exploring the mountains in any way you like.

We are hiring: 

Fjällsport, store employee

At Fjällsport you make sure that our guests are getting what they need from both our rental and our shop. You also make sure that the rental equipment gets the care it needs and that the store looks neat and clean at all times. During your spare time, there are countless hiking trails, bike paths, and less or more famous places to discover.

We are looking for:

A service-oriented attitude and one who likes to share your best places for camping, fishing, mountain biking, and kayaking!
Experience or simply a solid interest in fixing bikes is favorable, but not a requirement.

This is part-time employment which covers 50%.

Receptionist

We are looking for a new star to join our reception team. A person who enjoys being in the center and wants to invite our guests to fantastic mountain experiences. As a receptionist at Hotell Funäsdalen, you help our guests with check-in and out, make reservations, and table reservations. You help share information about things to do and see in the area. You are also responsible for keeping the lobby nice and selling kiosk goods and gondola tickets.

We are looking for:

A person that views the interaction with the guests as your biggest task and thrives in a flexible and solution-oriented workgroup. The reception team and the housekeeping team work closely together and have a daily dialogue about planning and priorities. If necessary, we help the housekeeping team. We want you to have good computer skills and that you´re able to communicate well in both Swedish and English, both written and spoken. Experience of reception work or other forms of guest contact is favorable, but not a requirement.

This is part-time employment which covers 75%.

Housekeepers

We are looking for motivated employees who want to roll up their sleeves and become part of our housekeeping team. The tasks are to clean our hotel, our hostel, and the cottages and apartments we provide. The housekeeping team works closely with our reception team and together we help to create a really good stay for our guests in the mountains.

We are looking for:

A person being proud of a job well done, which is fast, accurate, takes initiative and values ​​a clean and tidy hotel/accommodation as highly as we do. You will be part of a team and therefore we attach great importance to your ability to work together and a good attitude. A driving license and previous hotel experience are favorable, but not required.

This is part-time employment which covers 75%.

Daily waiter/waitress

As a day service waiter/waitress at Fjällrestuarangen, you serve guests breakfast and lunch. You make sure that the buffet is well stocked and inviting, pick dishes, and keep the restaurant clean and tidy.

At Toppstugan you take care of the food orders, checkout, serve coffee and drinks, serve food and pick up dishes at the tables.

We are looking for:

A nice person who likes to work hard and thinks that your work is important. We think your work is important as it is part of a larger context where we work together and all elements are equally important for us to succeed. You must be a team player and be flexible in your work. You may have a few years’ experience as a waitress/waiter, but this is not a requirement. We are happy to see that you are interested in coming back for the next winter season. If everything works well this summer, there will be a great opportunity for that.

This is part-time employment which covers 75%.

Dining waiter/waitress

We are looking for new stars to join our dining team at Fjällrestaurangen. Here you work with classic table service with all that it entails, the service also includes bar work. You will mainly work evenings at Fjällrestaurangen. This means that during the day you have plenty of time to explore the area and do a little of what you want in the wonderful mountain nature we have up here.

We are looking for:

A person that has a few years’ experience of serving from an á la carte restaurant. You should like fast-paced work and be a little knowledgeable in food and wine. You are a nice person who likes to work hard and thinks that your work is important. We think your work is important as it is part of a larger context where we work together and all elements are equally important for us to succeed. You must be a team player and be flexible in your work. We are happy to see that you are interested in coming back for the next winter season. If everything works well this summer, there will be a great opportunity for that.

This is part-time employment which covers 75%.

Butler

As a butler at Fjällrestaurangen, your duties mainly consist of working and leading the service team during the evening, but also some beverage work in the form of menus, inventory, and orders will take place. You will work alongside and report to an F&B manager who will support you in everything needed.

We are looking for:

A minimum of 5 years’ experience of dining hall work, preferably one of those years as a butler at an á la carte restaurant. You have a strong interest in food and drink, and think great and flexible service is very important. You want to lead and develop our employees so that we can become better in our service and in our daily work. If we throw a little humility and teamwork into this, you are the person for us. We are happy to see that you are interested in coming back for the next winter season. If everything works well this summer, there will be a great opportunity for that.

The employment starts at the beginning of June and covers 75%.

Day chef

At Fjällrestaurangen, we serve a lunch buffet every day of the week. As a chef, you will be responsible for the serving of the buffet and that it is refilled and looks fresh.

At Toppstugan, we serve an á la carte lunch consisting of 7-9 dishes every day of the week, where the food is prepared beforehand and prepared to order.

We are looking for:

A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a chef in a restaurant kitchen. You should be a team player who looks after the guest’s best interests and loves and respects your raw materials. You prefer a high pace at work and you think that your work is important. We think your work is important as it is part of a larger context where we work together and all elements are equally important for us to succeed. If you, at the same time, are humble and like to work – then you can be a person for us.

This is part-time employment which covers 75%.

Dinner chef

At Fjällrestaurangen, you prepare our á la carte menu. You work in a team of 2-3 chefs per evening, where you either run the cold or hot side of the kitchen. This is classic cooking with a large recognition factor. You will mainly work evenings at Fjällrestaurangen. This means that during the day you have plenty of time to explore the area and do a little of what you want in the wonderful mountain nature we have up here.

We are looking for:

At least a few years’ experience as a chef in a restaurant kitchen, where at least some of them are like á la carte chef. You should be a team player who looks after the guest’s best interests and loves and respects your raw materials. You prefer a high pace at work and you think that your work is important. We think your work is important as it is part of a larger context where we work together and all elements are equally important for us to succeed. If you, at the same time, are humble and like to work – then you can be a person for us.

The employment starts at the beginning of June and covers 75%.
