For the summer of 2024, we are hiring:

Receptionist

We are looking for a new star to join our reception team who enjoys being in the center and wants to offer our guests fantastic mountain experiences. As a receptionist at Hotell Funäsdalen, you will assist guests with check-in and check-out, make bookings and table reservations, and provide tips and information about the area. You will also be responsible for keeping the lobby tidy and selling snacks and Gondola tickets.

We are looking for someone who:

Sees interaction with guests as their main task and enjoys working in a flexible and solution-oriented team. The reception team and the cleaning team work closely together and have daily discussions about planning and priorities. If needed, we help each other with cleaning. We expect you to have good computer skills and be able to communicate effectively in both written and spoken Swedish and English. Experience in reception work or other guest interaction is an advantage.

The position is 75%.

House-cleaning

We are looking for motivated employees who want to roll up their sleeves and join our house-cleaning team. The tasks include cleaning our hotel, hostel, as well as the cabins and apartments we manage. The cleaning team works closely with our reception team, and together we strive to create a great mountain experience for our guests.

We are looking for someone who:

Takes pride in a job well done, is fast, thorough, takes initiative, and values a clean and tidy hotel/accommodation as much as we do. You will be part of a team, so we place great emphasis on your ability to collaborate and have a good attitude. A driver’s license and previous hotel experience are advantageous but not required.

The position is 75%.

Head chef

The business is beautifully located in a ski resort in the village of Funäsdalen with 800 residents and wilderness around every corner in all directions. After over 3.5 years and seven seasons as an F&B Manager, I need a new companion and head chef who wants to share responsibility for operations but also development with a lot of energy. Do you, like me, enjoy skiing in winter and hiking, running, and cycling in summer and like the idea of the adventure of moving to a place that offers it all? I myself moved here with my two children almost 3.5 years ago. They love it here as much as I do and thrive wonderfully with preschool, school, and all activities during the day.

During the summer months, we keep two restaurants running with five chefs, and in winter, we operate three restaurants with seven employees in our kitchens. The main restaurant is our hotel restaurant Fjällrestaurangen, and the other two are associated with all activities on the mountain and in the ski area. For a couple of years now, we have settled into what we believe is a fine product appreciated by the guests, ranging from quicker dishes at one of the slope restaurants to local products on our plates in the evenings. But everything must be well done.

If I have captured your interest, I look forward to a conversation at 070-747 56 13 or email andreas@funasdalenberghotell.se so I can tell you more about the position and life in Funäsdalen.
